JACK DE KEYZER BAND

JACK JAMS THE COVE!

The Sold Out crowd at Blues On The Rideau @ The Cove got a great Valentine gift as JACK DE KEYZER and his hot band (David Colter on drums, Al Duffy on bass and Chris Murphy on sax) came in and blew the doors off the place last Friday the 15th.  The 2007 Maple Blues Award winner for Guitarist of the Year showed why he is the King as he made his Fender rock, cry, slide, talk, blast, tip toe and run. Chris on sax (2007 Maple Blues Horn Player of the Year nominee) bounced in and out beautifully all night long as did Al and David laying down a solid, driving back beat. Blues, jump, funk, R&B, rock – they played it all.  The Cove crowd showed their appreciation immediately hitting the dance floor with the first tune and packing it all night long. Even after two long sets they still demanded a double encore before letting the band off the stage. Sale of his CD’s – especially the brand new one “Blues Thing” - nominated for the 2008 Juno Award for Best Blues CD of the Year – were brisk all night.
